This is Bill Thayer’s blog; its purpose is to nudge the search engines to record new pages on my site’s American history section (Apr 2013: 41 books, 3500+ webpages, over 21,000 pages of print) a bit better than they’d been doing. It seems to be working a bit, although maybe not enough to make the time spent on this worthwhile.
Humans, however, are better served by the What’s New page on my site, where every new page or site gets recorded the day it goes online.
